  • Born in Saint-Chamond, the artist Assan Smati lives and works in both Berlin and Saint-Etienne. He creates figurative art that resurrects ancient symbols.

  • This piece is a monumental sculpture representing two blue horses in polyester resin standing on a tall pedestal. Riderless, sealed in immobility, these smooth, tight-skinned horses seem to arise out of nowhere to surprise and charm us with their esthetic perfection and pure lines.
