Overlooking the gorges of the Loire, the castle of Essalois offers a 360° panorama from the top of one of its towers. The visit of the castle is free according to the following schedules:

From 09/04 to 08/05/2022
Open on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Sunday from 11am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm.

From 09/05 to 30/06/2022
Open Wednesday and Saturday from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Sunday from 11am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm.

From 01/07 to 31/08/2022, every day.

How does it work?

To get to the castle, you have to park on the dedicated parking lot and finish the path on foot (about 600m). Once you have arrived at the castle, all you have to do is enter and take the stairs to the top of the tower and enjoy the view!
