Spectacular viewpoint

Unique in France. Built from the XIIth century at 930 meters of altitude, in the heart of the rivalries between the great lords, the castle is very quickly entrusted to the Raybe d’Urfé family. They embellished it until the 16th century and sold it in 1766. The fortress is dismantled after the French Revolution, and earns its nickname horned by its gaunt aspect. Since 1979, an association ensures the restoration and the development of this site in ruin. QR Codes to flash activate an audio-guided visit between the keep and the arboretum.
