A majestic building

The Benedictine abbey of Charlieu is built in the yellow stone of the region. This monastic complex, with its unique architectural qualities, will not fail to surprise you. The Philippe Auguste tower, the abbey’s defensive keep, and the medieval houses of the town make Charlieu a unique site.
